The U.S. Military Defense Industrial Base cannot meet current demand.  In fact, a recent federal budget reduced the number of nuclear submarines for build, because of the capacity shortfall within the Industrial Base. 

AUKUS is further straining the U.S. Industrial Base, based on the nuclear submarine build-maintenance requirements of that US-AU-UK treaty (2022); It WILL NOT be able to handle both the U.S. and AUKUS demand on-time and on-budget.
